What We Believe

God

There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, all knowing, ever-present and eternally existing in three manifestations: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

(Isa. 40:28; Matt. 28:19; Eph. 1:11; Acts 15:14; John 17:6, 18; Eph 4:12; 1 Cor. 5:10; Rom. 12:2; II Cor. 4:7)

Jesus Christ

Jesus is the Son of God, who came to earth and was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead and later ascended into heaven, where He remains at the right hand of God Almighty. He's our Risen Savior and gives abundant life.

(Isa. 40:28; Matt. 28:19; Eph. 1:11; Acts 15:14; John 17:6, 18; Eph 4:12; 1 Cor. 5:10; Rom. 12:2; II Cor. 4:7)

Holy Spirit

Holy Spirit indwells every believer and empowers us for godly living and service. He empowers, leads, guides, comforts and convicts of sin.

(Acts 1:8 and 4:31; Rom. 8:9; 1 Cor. 2:14; Gal. 5:16-18; Eph. 6:12; Col. 2:6-10)

The Bible

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God revealing the love of God to the world.

(Heb. 4:12; I Thess. 2:13; II Tim. 3:15-17; John 3:16)

Eternal Life

After death, eternal life begins either in heaven or hell. Where eternity is spent is based on the decision to make Jesus Christ Lord and Savior.

(Heb. 4:12; I Thess. 2:13; II Tim. 3:15-17; John 3:16)

Water Baptism

Water baptism is by immersion. It symbolizes the believer's faith in a crucified, buried and risen Savior; the believer's death to sin, the burial of the life, and the resurrection to walk in newness of life in Christ Jesus. It is also a sign of fellowship and identification with the visible Body of Christ.

(Gal. 1:6-9;Rom. 1:18-32; I Tim. 2:5,6; Acts 4:12; John 3:16-19; II Pet. 3:9; II Thess. 1:7-9;John 4:42; Matt. 11:28; Eph. 1:20,21; Phil. 2:9-11)

Communion/Lord's Supper

The Lord's Supper commemorates the death of Jesus until He comes and should always be preceded by solemn self-examination.

(Gal. 1:6-9;Rom. 1:18-32; I Tim. 2:5,6; Acts 4:12; John 3:16-19; II Pet. 3:9; II Thess. 1:7-9;John 4:42; Matt. 11:28; Eph. 1:20,21; Phil. 2:9-11)
